On the evening of December 6, 2006 the young lives of Dustin and Courtney Muse, the son and daughter of Pam Meehan and Don Muse, ended tragically in a devastating automobile accident.
Dustin, almost 17 years old, was an athlete, scholar, and a young man of
character, integrity, loyalty, and commitment to family and friends. On the
field or in the classroom, he performed with boundless determination and
self motivation always thriving on competition. His coaches recognized his
willingness to learn and lead, and his teachers recognized his capacity for
deep thought, sometimes tempered with a wry smile. Dustin was a handsome,
engaging, and charismatic son, grandson, brother, and friend whom everyone
was proud to know.
Courtney, 13 years old, was a rare gem. Her eyes sparkled with an
endless supply of love for all who crossed her path. She was kind,
empathetic, and compassionate and had an unmatched zest for life. Her smile
and laugh lit up every room. She provided unconditional friendship to anyone
and was never fazed by any of life's tribulations. She loved dancing,
playing piano, animals, and music. She bounced through her short life with
carefree abandon and infinite enthusiasm, showering everyone with smiles and
hugs. Courtney was a precious gift and beautiful daughter, granddaughter,
sister, and friend, whom everyone felt blessed to have in their lives. |
